About the Founder
Banji Ajibade is an academic, researcher, and IT professional with a passion for education. He holds a Master’s in Animal Biotechnology, a Bachelor’s in Animal Breeding and Genetics, and is currently pursuing an MBA in Cybersecurity at Nexford University. His professional journey includes work as a University Demonstrator and Assistant Lecturer, supporting students in research, proposals, and project writing.
Alongside his academic background, he is also a certified IT Consultant and Support Technician at SoarStar Group of Companies. He holds CompTIA Network+, Security+, and Pentest+ certifications, bringing technical expertise in secure, reliable digital systems to StepUp Tutors.
This unique blend of science, IT, and education fuels his vision: to help every child adapt to the UK education system, build confidence, and thrive academically.
Why I Started StepUp Tutors
My passion for supporting children began during a simple but life-changing conversation with a parent. She was worried about her child, who was struggling to keep up after moving into the UK school system. She asked me for advice—not just as a professional, but as someone she trusted to guide her child. As we spoke, I realised how many parents share the same fears: Will my child fit in? Will they cope with the pressure? Will they fall behind?
I took the time to work with her child—drafting notes, guiding learning step by step, and showing that with patience and the right support, no challenge is too big. The joy on that child’s face when they started to catch up and the relief on the parent’s face told me everything: this is my calling.
That moment planted the seed for StepUp Tutors. What began as one parent’s request grew into a vision—to build a platform where every child, no matter their background, can feel supported, valued, and empowered to succeed.
